lsadb software package provides Utility to scan devices on the ADB bus, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install lsadb
lsadb is installed in your system.
Make ensure the lsadb package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lsadb *
You will get with lsadb package name, version, architecture and description in a table
